The Palm Beach County Property Appraiser’s Office administers all property tax exemptions. Exemptions reduce the assessed value of your property, thereby reducing the amount of property tax you pay. If your property is your permanent residence, or homestead, you may be eligible for a tax exemption.

We have five Service Centers conveniently located throughout Palm Beach County. Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service and offer assistance on a variety of issues including the homestead exemption application, additional exemptions, portability, changes to your property address and ownership, and more.

Additional information:

Certificate of Trust

Some property owners choose to transfer their home into a Trust for estate planning purposes. A Certificate of Trust form ensures the property owner continues to receive the annual $25,000 Homestead Exemption benefit. It is not necessary to reapply for the original Homestead Exemption benefit.

Complete the form and drop off at one of our Service Centers, or mail to the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser's Office, Exemption Services, 1st Floor, 301 N. Olive Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33401.

Confidential Records Request

By Florida law, home addresses of property owners in certain professions such as law enforcement are exempt from public access. A complete list of those entitled to keep their home addresses confidential is noted on the Confidential Records Request form.
