Supportive Land Use Study

Palm Beach County currently participates in the State Road 7 Coordinating Committee to mitigate impacts resulting from the deletion of University Drive. This joint Committee consists of staff from:

Florida Department of Transportation
Palm Beach County
Broward County
Palm Beach County Metropolitan Planning Organization
Broward County Metropolitan Planning Organization
Various municipalities within Broward County

The Coordinating Committee is undertaking mobility studies that analyze the State Road 7 corridor from approximately Glades Road in Boca Raton (Palm Beach County) to Sample Rd (Broward County), east of the Florida’s Turnpike to the edge of the urban area. Palm Beach County is expected to further define and implement a Transit Oriented Corridor and implement Multi-Modal Quality of Service (MMQOS) levels for the corridor.
