THE VEHICLE FOR HIRE MORATORIUM FOR NEW COMPANIES REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL JUNE 1, 2013.
ATTENTION ALL 2011 PERMITTED VEHICLE FOR HIRE COMPANIES Based on recommendations from staff and the Palm Beach County (PBC) VFH Advisory Committee, the PBC Board of County Commissioners have approved the following VFH fee changes:
The above fee increases/adjustments will be reflected in your January 2012 VFH billing notice. In response to the VFH industry concerns about the deadline for the VFH application renewal and VFH decal fees, the new annual VFH application period will be effective May 1st of each year beginning 2012. The current VFH annual application/renewal fees due to expire on December 31, 2011, will be valid through April 30, 2012. Broward County, Miami-Dade County, and local municipalities have been notified of this change. The deadline to pay your 2012 new VFH fees will be March 1, 2012. If payment is not received on the requested due date, the customary late fee may be applied. Other changes have been made regarding the VFH operator requirements which are listed on this website. The Palm Beach County VFH Committee, whose members consist of the VFH industry operators, meets monthly with staff to discuss issues that directly affect the VFH industry. This Committee is working very hard to enhance the value of the existing VHF companies currently licensed to operate in Palm Beach County. If you are interested in attending or participating in these meetings or if you have any questions about the information contained in this letter, please contact the Division of Consumer Affairs at 561-712-6600.
