Therapeutic Recreation
Club T-Rec (ages 16-26)

for Young Adults with Developmental Disabilities

Located in the Club Managers Association of America Therapeutic Recreation Complex in John Prince Park, Club T-Rec is a summer program designed for persons age 16-26 with developmental delays. The program will help participants set and achieve personal goals, learn life skills and establish friendships while participating in a wide variety of fun and exciting recreation experiences.

Each participant must be able to participate in a 6:1 ratio without the assistance of an inclusion aide. The participant must be able to stay with their group, feed, toilet, and dress themselves independently.

Session I: Natural Wonders June 18-22
Session II: Cruzin’ Around the County June 25-29
Session III: Party in the USA July 2-6, no program on July 4th
Session IV: Cooking up a Storm July 9-13
Session V: Discovering Science and Technology July 16-20
Session VI: Sports Mania July 23-27
Session VII: Aqua Adventures July 30-August 3
Session VIII: Festival of Artistic Creations August 6 - 10

Program Hours: 9am-3:30pm
Pre-Program drop off time: 8:30-9:00am
Post-Program pick up time: 3:30-5pm
Fee: $120 per one week session (fee includes a $20 non-refundable registration fee, per session)
Limit per session: 12

Registration Information

Club T-Rec

Registration begins on Tuesday, March 27, starting at 8:30 am until all sessions are full, at the CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex, 2728 Lake Worth Road in Lake Worth. Registration forms will not be accepted prior to this date. Contact Therapeutic Recreation by March 23 for on-line payment instructions.

Ages listed are as of September 1, 2012. A copy of participant's birth certificate is required at time of registration. In the interest of fairness, we must limit registration to 4 participants per adult.

Open House - Wednesday June 13 at 6:30 pm

All parents/guardians should attend Open House on June 13, from 6:30-7:30pm to become acquainted with program policies, schedules and to complete registration forms. Participants are not allowed to attend this program until all forms are completed.
