PROGRAM INFORMATION:
· Programs are by reservation only unless otherwise noted. Call 561-233-1400 or visit the center to make a reservation.
· Many programs require minimum registration in order to run the program. Please register at least 2 days in advance.
· Please call if you cannot keep your reservation, which will allow someone on the waiting list to take your spot.
· If you are more than 5 minutes late to a program you have a reservation for, your spot will be given to a person on the wait list.
· Fees are due upon arrival to program (cash or check preferred).
· For every program, participants/guardians are required to sign a Program Participation Form.

    Join us for a FREE guided nature walk through the pine flatwoods forest and learn about the plants and animals that live right here in your community.

  • SCIENCE FOR SENIORS: Marine Ecology
    Tuesday, March 31, 9:30am
    Adults 50+, $5/person
    Reservations Required – Call 561-233-1400
    ‘Science for Seniors’ programs are easy paced and are designed for adults 50 and older with a desire to learn more about our environment.  Only a small portion of the Earth’s oceans have been explored, but they are home to some of the world’s most amazing creatures.  Come learn about some of the wonders of the deep in this class that introduces us to marine ecology.

APRIL

  • STORY TIME
    Thursday, April 2, 10:00 a.m.
    Ages 2-5, $2/child (Reservations Required)
    Introduce little ones to Mother Nature through stories! Class activities may include live animals, games, nature walks and/or crafts specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers. Class is approximately one half hour long and the topic varies for each class.  

  • EGG-CITING EGGS
    Saturday, April 4, 10:30 a.m.
    Families/All Ages, $3/person (Reservations Required)
    Birds aren’t the only egg-layers! Learn all about egg colors, shapes, sizes, and the variety of animals that lay them. Please note: This program is not an egg hunt.

  • SCIENCE FOR SENIORS: SECRETS OF THE LAKE WORTH LAGOON
    Tuesday, April 14, 9:30 a.m.
    Adults 50+, $5/person (Reservations Required)
    Science for Seniors programs are easy paced and are designed for adults 50 and older with a desire to learn more about the environment. Guest speaker Carole Marshall will share little known facts about the Lake Worth Lagoon from how it was formed, named, and how the lake has changed. She will also discuss creatures that can be found in Palm Beach County, including the extinct ones that lived here!  

  • STORY TIME
    Thursday, April 16, 10:00 a.m.
    Ages 2-5, $2/child (Reservations Required)
    Introduce little ones to Mother Nature through stories! Class activities may include live animals, games, nature walks and/or crafts specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers. Class is approximately one half hour long and the topic varies for each class.

  • DEER & RAPTOR WALK
    Saturday, April 18, 10:30 a.m.
    Families/All Ages, $3/person (Reservations Required)
    Go on a “behind the scenes” tour of the deer and raptor compounds, see the animals up close, and learn about these unique critters! Please note: This program is not stroller or wheelchair accessible.   

  • SPECIAL EVENT: EARTH DAY
    Saturday, April 25, 9:00am-3:00pm
    Families / All Ages, FREE (No Reservations Needed)
    Join us for live animals, special guest speakers, crafts, tours, food and a variety of other activities as we celebrate the earth!  Learn ways to “go green” and do your part to protect Mother Nature! Click here for the event flier.

  • SCIENCE FOR SENIORS: MARINE LIFE FOUND IN LAKE WORTH LAGOON
    Tuesday, April 28, 9:30 a.m.
    Adults 50+, $5/person (Reservations Required)
    Science for Seniors programs are easy paced and are designed for adults 50 and older with a desire to learn more about the environment. Professional scientific diver and underwater photographer Anne DuPont will share her photos showing the diversity and uniqueness of the underwater marine life found in Lake Worth Lagoon. Her presentation will highlight her area of special interest: mollusks and sea slugs.
