Abrams Participates In Business and Professions Outreach Breakfast

On November 19, County Commissioner Abrams participated in a panel discussion titled "Turning the Tides: Palm Beach County and the Recovery – Treading Water, Splashing Around or Planning for the Next Wave," at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. This was an opportunity for Commissioner Abrams to discuss how Palm Beach County is responding to the real estate crisis and the economic forecast from the government's view. He described the numerous initiatives the county has taken to address local economic challenges such as the foreclosure crisis. He also elaborated about the county's successful co-partnerships with organizations such as the Realtors Association, Business Loan Fund of Palm Beach County, the Black Business Investment Corporation and the Business Development Board in an effort to provide assistance to local businesses. The panel was hosted by the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and also included Bradley F. Hunter, Chief Economist and National Director of Consulting at Metrostudy, and Jami Passer, Vice President of Edens & Avant.
