Commissioner Abrams was invited to speak at the Family Promise of South Palm Beach County’s second anniversary event on Nov. 4, 2010.   He welcomed the opportunity to thank the organization and its hundreds of volunteers for their dedication and commitment to the community in their efforts to successfully stabilize local families experiencing situational homelessness.    

Family Promise, an affiliate of a national, interfaith organization, offers an array of vital services including temporary shelter and food for homeless families countywide.  Over 1,700 children were reported homeless in Palm Beach County in 2009.
