Everglades Restoration Project Begins

On Oct. 29, Commissioner Abrams participated in the ground-breaking ceremony for the Fran Reich Preserve project.  This project will contribute to the ongoing restoration of the Everglades by increasing the much needed water storage capacity adjacent to the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. 

The project is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, and a Florida firm has been contracted to perform the work.
