Commissioner Attends Groundbreaking for Davis Landings Affordable Housing Project

On Sept. 20, 2011 Commissioner Vana joined Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Miami Field Office Director Armando Fana and Palm Beach County’s Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) Director Ed Lowery in a ground-breaking ceremony for Davis Landings. 

HCD is partnering with the Community Land Trust of Palm Beach County, Inc. (CLT) to build a 25-unit, affordable housing development located near public transportation, JFK Hospital and Palm Beach State College.  This project will fill a critical need for families in Palm Beach County and create 74 jobs.

“I am extremely proud to be supporting the Davis Landings Affordable Housing Project,” said District 3 Commissioner Shelley Vana.   “During these tough economic times it is especially important that our citizens are able to obtain affordable housing and have sufficient access to health care facilities.”
