Commissioner Abrams Honors Local Resident

	Commissioner Abrams and former South Palm Beach Mayor Maurice “Maury” Jacobson

On August 18, Commissioner Abrams joined local residents and officials at former South Palm Beach Mayor Maurice “Maury” Jacobson’s 90th birthday party celebration. 

The commissioner presented Mayor Jacobson with a Certificate of Congratulations on his many years of service, dedication and commitment to the community. 

In 1993, Maury was elected to the Town of South Palm Beach City Commission where he would serve 17 years on the commission including four years as mayor.  Over the years, he was also involved in other civic-minded organizations and was the recipient of numerous appointments to a wide variety of boards and committees by local and state officials.

Today, he is still actively involved and currently serves on a number of Palm Beach County boards such as the Building Code Advisory Board and Land Development Regulation Advisory Board.  Happy 90th birthday to Maury!
