Palm Beach County is blessed with 47 miles of Atlantic coastline and some of the finest beaches anywhere. You can help keep our beautiful shores clean and healthy by volunteering for a beach cleanup.
Beach cleanups are a great way for families, neighbors, businesses, church and student groups to show support for our shared natural resource and our fragile marine environment. As an added bonus, the exercise will leave you feeling energized, and you’re certain to feel refreshed after your sunny excursion outdoors with friends.
To take advantage of this unique opportunity, please contact Heather Medina at (561) 966-6684 or via email at pbcparks@ pbcgov.org to coordinate a beach cleanup for your group.
Volunteers are needed for a beach cleanup at Carlin Park in Jupiter on Saturday, August 11, from 3-5 p.m. The event is sponsored by Barefoot Wine and the Surfrider Foundation. Carlin Park is one of the area’s most heavily used beaches. It takes a lot of work and dedication to keep it sparkling clean and “barefoot friendly.” After the cleanup, participants will be treated to a celebration at Duffy’s in North Palm Beach. (You must be 21 to attend.) To RSVP for the Carlin Park cleanup, please go to beachrescue2012.com.
