Local Employer Celebrates Expansion

U.S. Foodservice invited Commissioner Abrams and other local officials to participate in an open house celebrating their recent expansion of over 15,000 square feet of additional warehouse space on July 28.  The new facility is more than 373,000 square feet and is situated on 20 acres in Boca Raton.  The company employs approximately 300 local residents and recently added 20 new positions in July as a result of the expansion. 

In addition to a tour of the facilities, the festivities included an array of food tastings with numerous celebrity chefs including a local culinary team from the West Boca Community High School. 

U.S. Foodservice is a regional food distributor in South Florida that is expanding due to an increase in demand by their customer base including restaurants, schools and hospitals.  They also provide community outreach by making regular donations to local food banks.  So far this year, they have donated nearly 360 tons of food.
