Boca Raton Leaders Visit Abrams’ Office

Approximately 40 community leaders participating in the Boca Raton Leadership program visited the county on June 2 as part of the program’s “Government Day” session.  The commissioner joined the group for lunch and spoke to them about his leadership role as a county commissioner and the numerous challenges that the county is experiencing in today’s tough economic climate.

Commissioner Abrams also provided ample opportunity for the participants to ask questions and/or express any issues or concerns that they may have with county government.

The Boca Raton Leadership program is sponsored by the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, and is designed to educate civic-minded individuals from the greater Boca Raton area with regard to issues and concerns facing our community.  An important aspect of the program involves meeting with experts in the fields of government, health care, environment, education, social services, business, public safety, the arts, the media and more.
