Goldberg Named HERC Member of the Year

Jeff Goldberg, Assistant Logistics Manager with Palm Beach County Public Safety, has been recognized as member of the year by the Palm Beach County Healthcare Emergency Response Coalition (HERC). Goldberg was honored at HERC’s 2012 Disaster Preparedness & Annual Recognition Dinner on May 24.

Goldberg serves as chairman of the HERC Training & Education Committee, and has been responsible for the significant strides the organization has made in the area of training and exercises. For example, the Medical Reserve Corps was exercised and mobilized for the Marathon of the Palm Beaches. Goldberg has also been instrumental in Emergency Management’s WebEOC hospital-EM integration project.

“At every opportunity, he works to get hospitals involved in our exercises,” said Emergency Management Director Bill Johnson. “This is a wonderful honor for Jeff, and I know you will join me in congratulating him.”
