West Boynton Branch Library Reopened Following Renovations

The West Boynton Branch Library, located at 9451 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, reopened on Wednesday, May 30 at 10 a.m., with a brief ceremony. The branch closed in April 2011 for renovations.

The completed renovations include:

• An updated color scheme with coordinated upholstery fabric, carpeting, and artwork that creates a fresh and inviting environment
• Replacement of outdated fixtures with new shelving designed especially to accommodate more audiovisual materials
• Reconfiguring of the Children’s Area allowing for additional shelving
• Refurbishing and rearranging seating and shelving to give the location a more open feel
• Streamlined computer stations, which take up less floor space, allowing for additional computer terminals
• Upgrading the wiring for faster Internet access
• Installing automated materials return and sorting equipment
• Retrofitted furniture to accommodate laptop users
