“Child Abuse Prevention Month”

At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on April 6, 2010, Commissioner Steven Abrams presented a proclamation declaring April 2010 as “Child Abuse Prevention Month” in Palm Beach County. The students are displaying decorative hand cut-outs that they and fellow students in Westward Elementary School’s afterschool program created. The decorative hands, reminders of the need to take care of our community’s children, will hang with thousands of others from throughout the state in the Capitol Rotunda in Tallahassee during Children’s Week April 11-16, 2010.
