Commissioner Meets with Legislators in Tallahassee

During the week of March 7th, Commissioner Abrams traveled to Tallahassee for “Palm Beach County Days,” an annual event at which county commissioners and senior staff lobby the county’s legislative priorities with state lawmakers.

The two-day affair consisted of meetings with numerous legislators including Senate President Mike Haridopolos, Senator Ellyn Bogdanoff, Senator Lizbeth Benacquisto and Representative Bill Hager, just to name a few.  Some of the county’s top issues this year include permit streamlining, pain management clinics, juvenile justice, and red light cameras.
