Michael’s Body Scenes gym in Boca Raton was the site of the “Firefighter Combat Challenge” on March 5th. Everyone had a chance to compete in actual fire gear against fire rescue professionals and gym trainers in order to raise funds for the first annual George Bailey First Responders Charitable Fund, Inc. Bailey was a firefighter, EMT and almost a paramedic when he was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver. His sister, Holly Barba, is the president and founder of the nonprofit. The proceeds are going to Palm Beach State College’s Paramedic Department to purchase a used EMT vehicle for training.
