The Palm Beach County Community Services Department Human Services Division is accepting Summer Camp Scholarship Program applications. The scholarships provide full tuition and fees for children ages 5 to 14 residing in families with incomes at or below 150 percent of Federal Poverty Guidelines. Parents may choose from participating camps in Palm Beach County.
All scholarships depend on the availability of funding. Priority is given to applicants in the following order:
- Homeless children/foster care children living in group homes
- Full-time working parents (32 hours or more per week) and part-time working parents (25 hours or more per week) in western areas only (Belle Glade, Pahokee, South Bay, Canal Point)
- Children of OEF and OIF Veterans, recently returned from active duty
Applicants must call a Human Services office to make an appointment. Offices are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
