The PDF Document Icon Palm Beach County Fire Code states that all public displays of fireworks are required to be approved by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Bureau of Safety Services. To receive approval for a firework display, the fireworks display company must provide specific information regarding the display, including but not limited to:

  • The exact location of the display,
  • the number, type, and size of the fireworks that will be displayed,
  • the name(s) and qualifications of the individual(s) performing the display
  • proof of a liability insurance policy in the amount determined by the Fire Marshal, and
  • copy of license/permit from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF).

The completed application must be submitted along with the $500.00 application fee. Once the display has been approved, an on-site inspection of the fireworks discharge site and fallout area will be conducted by a representative of the Fire Marshal's office.

If weather conditions are not favorable or it is determined by the Fire Marshal's office that the display has the potential of damaging property or endangering people, the fireworks display will not be allowed.
