Why did you join the honor guard? Someone gave me a video of the U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Team. When I was done watching their performance I knew I had to become a member of the Honor Guard. Preserving the tradition with pride, integrity and class is what it's all about.

Why did you join the honor guard? Being a part of the Honor Guard is one of the things in my career of which I am most proud. It is rewarding for me to be representing our department in this capacity, as I believe it brings a sense of tradition and dignity to the fire service when we are out there doing what we do. I enjoy the discipline and formality when we are "in the zone". Also, in my opinion, there is no better way to pay respect to a fallen firefighter and the family than to post and render honors with the Pipe and Drum at a memorial or funeral service, and I am honored to be a part of it.

Why did you join the honor guard? I joined the Honor Guard as a way to show my respect for all the Brother and Sister Fire Fighters who have served and who continue to serve in our profession. I have had the privilege to represent P.B.C.F.R. as a member of our Honor Guard Team for our own members as well as orther department members who have fallen. I believe that thier memory and their family was honored.
