Bureau of Safety Services: Administration

The Bureau of Safety Services implements a proactive strategy to provide fire prevention and injury reduction programs and services to our citizens and visitors through a multifaceted approach. The Bureau's administration directs the periodic review and adoption of the latest model fire codes as well as local amendments to meet local conditions affecting the health and safety of our residents and visitors. It oversees the implementation of current and relevant educational programs to our citizens through our Community Education Section. Our final comprehensive angle to reduce injuries and fires in the community comes by leading our Arson Investigation's Section, where the majority of our staff is deputized through Palm Beach County Sheriff's office.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue's Bureau of Safety Services will continue to annually review the effectiveness of our fire and life safety programs, to assure that our community continues to reduce the effects of fire on their business, homes and family. It is of vital importance that Bureau personnel continually interact with other fire service professionals, the building and fire protection industries and our residents in order to assure the future direction of our programs and budgetary needs.
