Gary Gellermann (Facilities Manager, Facilities Management), Garth Josephs (Maintenance Supervisor), Tony Hurbs (Trades Crew Chief), Bernard Knowles (Trades Crew Chief), and Kevin Minor (Trades Crew Chief) for their exemplary commitment to the County through dedication to their jobs and customers. These employees have been faced with a shortage of staff of over 30% for over a year. They are willing to adapt their schedules to meet the needs of their customers by scheduling and monitoring projects on weekends to avoid inconveniencing customers. They maintain a positive attitude that keeps their crews' morale high.
Ernie Visoke (Irrigation Technician, Facilities Management) and Chuck Stancil (Facilities Maintenance Supervisor) for the extensive cooperation and coordination between Facilities Management, PBSO and the Drug Farm Residents on the irrigation installation project at the Stockade. This team did what no outside vendor was willing to do because of the risk involved in damaging the underground utilities. This team assumed the risk, took a creative approach by using Drug Farm Residents as laborers to dig trenches and install the irrigation piping and realized a cost savings of approximately 50%.
Jim Hicks (Supervisor of Audio/Video Systems, Communication) and Len Schmader (Supervisor of Radio Systems) for their exceptional leadership, outstanding customer service and cost savings realized in switching out electronic systems from 54 old buses to new ones for the Palm Tran fleet.
