Location:
19745 Riverside Drive, Jupiter, FL 33469 (not a mailing address). The site is located west of the Town of Jupiter on the east bank of the North Fork of the Loxahatchee River, approximately 3/4 mile north of Tequesta Drive.

Public Use Facilities:
None at present; hiking, photography, wildlife viewing, and other passive recreation activities are allowed on the site.

Site Information:
The natural area was acquired by Palm Beach County in February 2007. It is named after the Jackson family in recognition of that family's contribution to the early settlement of the Jupiter area. Land management activities, such as removal of nonnative plant species and structures associated with the single-family residence formerly on the site, are being conducted to restore the property. More than 150 native trees and shrubs have been planted on the site as part of the restoration work. The natural area contains small areas of four native Florida ecosystems: scrub, scrubby flatwoods, xeric hammock, and mangrove swamp. It is part of the Northeast Everglades Natural Area.

Plants:
Plant species present on the site include slash pine, beautyberry, Carolina jasmine, and red mangrove.

Wildlife:
Animal species that have been observed on the site include osprey, belted kingfisher, red-bellied woodpecker, pine warbler, and eastern gray squirrel.
