Pine Lake

 

General Information
Pine Lake is located within the City of West Palm Beach immediately east of the Palm Beach International Airport between Belvedere Road and Southern Boulevard. It is the smallest of the 5 chain of lakes and the shallowest. It is a popular destination for water skiing.

Additional Information

  • Located within the C-51 canal basin
  • 34.8 acres in size
  • Mean depth of 7.6 feet and a maximum depth of 17.1 feet
  • Inflow from the north and outflow to the south is from the county-maintained Stub Canal
  • Just over half of the area that drains to the lake is impervious
  • After heavy rains, the water nutrient and pollutant levels carried in stormwater can rise rapidly
  • Substantial amounts of submerged vegetation provide habitat for fish and help improve water quality
