Lake Worth Lagoon Mission Statement

To restore, conserve and manage the Lake Worth Lagoon ecosystem to a level of quality to obtain measurable and significant improvements to the Lagoon’s water and sediment quality; to provide habitat for native plants, fish and wildlife, and aesthetic, recreational and economic benefits for the residents and visitors of Palm Beach County; and to encourage, develop and promote a partnership of public and private interests to manage the Lagoon.

Lake Worth Lagoon Initiative

 

The Lake Worth Lagoon Initiative (LWLI) is an informal forum for the exchange of information about the Lagoon. Together, we increase our collective awareness of environmental enhancement and monitoring efforts and discuss opportunities and methodologies to restore and protect the Lagoon.   • Mosquito Control Update - Zika Virus
    While ERM's Mosquito Control Division is hard at work taking proactive steps to reducing mosquito popluations learn how you can protect yourself and reduce your exposure to mosquitoe-borne diseases. [PDF]
  • Running Wild - Cypress Creek Natural Area, Sat. February 6th
    Series of guided 3 to 10 mile trail runs through pine, cypress and coastal scrub habitats on some of the most scenic trails in Palm Beach County. [SCHEDULE]
  • Dark Sky Festival - Okeeheelee Nature Center, Sat. February 27th
