At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on March 5, 2024, Commissioner Baxter presented a proclamation declaring March 2024 as Women’s History Month in Palm Beach County. This year marks the 176th anniversary of the Women’s Rights Movement, which served as the driving force behind securing many women’s rights, including the right to vote, the right to hold public office, improved employment rights, representation and more. Each year since 1987, March has been designated Women’s History Month in the United States with the president proclaiming March as National Women’s History Month.
