At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on March 5, 2024, Mayor Sachs presented a proclamation declaring March 2024 as Ethics Awareness Month. The mission of the Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics (COE) is to foster integrity in public service, promote public trust and confidence in services and prevent conflicts between private interest and public duty. The Office of Inspector General (IG) in Palm Beach County was created to provide oversight and foresight in promoting efficiency and integrity in government. The Office of the State Attorney of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County has created a multi-agency task force to assist in the overall mission of promoting public trust and ethical behavior by those in public service through its authority to criminally prosecute public corruption cases under state law, as well as criminal violations of the Palm Beach County Code of Ethics.
