At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Jan. 23, 2024, Commissioner Bernard presented a proclamation declaring January 2024 as Mentoring Month in Palm Beach County. This annual campaign helps to raise awareness and celebrate the powerful impact of mentoring relationships, recruit new mentors and encourage institutions to integrate quality mentoring into their policies and practices. mentoring programs have a significant positive impact on youth academic achievement, school connectedness and engagement and educational success, which can lead to positive outcomes such as improved attendance, grades, test scores and classroom behavior.
