​On June 1, 2023, Commissioner Woodward joined Palm Beach County's Office of Community Revitalization staff to tour some of the Neighborhood Engagement and Transformation (NEAT) grant projects in neighborhoods throughout Palm Beach County. The commissioner had an opportunity to see firsthand how the grants are helping residents implement sustainable neighborhood improvements. 

Projects include an upgraded playground/fitness area, a community garden (where we enjoyed plantain banana bread and jam straight from the garden), a community center and more!

Commissioner Woodward thanked the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office for being terrific escorts and playing an important role in these communities. 

The NEAT program provides grants up to $10,000 to neighborhood-based groups and/or organizations through the county’s Office of Community Revitalization.
