On Memorial Day, May 29, 2023, Commissioner Woodward joined local officials at a ceremony honoring our nation's veterans at the county's Veterans Memorial Park in Boca Raton. The commissioner took the opportunity to share a personal story from her family and to honor her grandfather who served in the United States Army.
This annual event honors veterans of our armed services and features a procession of colors, guest speakers and patriotic music. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10556 and Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department jointly coordinated the event.
