​On May 4, 2023, Commissioner Woodward met with Andrew Duffel, president and CEO of Research Park at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), for a tour of the facilities and an overview of some innovative technology and products being developed including life-changing spine implants and instruments.

The commissioner also met Dr. Kale at Aventusoft, LLC who has developed a groundbreaking noninvasive cloud-connected device for cardiac assessment. The device, which is manufactured locally, is awaiting FDA approval and will contribute to advances in cardiology.

Palm Beach County works in partnership with Research Park to ensure the future strength of our economy and provide employment opportunities for FAU graduates and local residents.
