On March 14, 2023, Commissioner Woodward joined fellow county commissioners to unveil the Palm Beach County Library System’s first-ever book vending machine at the Robert Weisman Governmental Center in West Palm Beach.
The machine, called the “Library to Go,” allows Palm Beach County library cardholders to check out or return books.
The commissioner had the opportunity to be one of the first to check out a book which is as easy as scanning your library card. After the door is shut, the machine runs an inventory to determine what’s been checked out.
