On March 4, 2023, Commissioner Woodward joined officials from the City of Boynton Beach for the ribbon cutting of the new pickleball courts at the Boynton Beach Tennis Center and Barrier Free Park. Pickleball is one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports, and the new courts will be a great addition to the area.
The popular sport is a variation of tennis, badminton and a small dose of ping-pong. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but it can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.
