On March 2, 2023, Commissioner Woodward toured the Grey Team, a nonprofit located in Boca Raton with a mission to reduce and eliminate PTSD-related veteran suicides. The commissioner commended the organization for taking an active role in assisting veterans through their programs and services.
Military suicides are one of the nation’s most important issues, and in 2021 more than 600 veterans committed suicide in Florida. A 52% increase compared to 2020.
Last year, Grey Team served nearly 600 active-duty service members and military veterans across the United States. They offer various services, including personal training, electromagnetic mood therapy, infrared detoxification, nutritional counseling and more!
