On Jan. 30, 2023, Commissioner Woodward attended the annual Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation Joint Workshop of the Board of County Commissioners and the county’s state legislators to discuss the 2023 legislative agenda. The commissioner spoke briefly about supporting legislation that will increase transparency regarding existing guardianships in Florida and protect wards from fraud and abuse.
The workshop provides an opportunity for the commissioners and the county’s legislative staff to review the county’s priorities for the upcoming session in Tallahassee.
The issues are wide-ranging and address the county’s needs concerning housing and homelessness, transportation, mental health, as well as economic development, to name a few.
The meeting was held at Palm Beach State College Public Safety Training Center in Lake Worth.
