On Jan 19. 2023, Commissioner Woodward and fellow county commissioners held a ground-breaking ceremony for the new Prosperity Village Cottage Homes located in Lake Worth.
The new complex includes the construction of 16 homes, a community center and ancillary facilities to serve as transitional housing for individuals experiencing homelessness and low-income families for up to two years.
The $6 million construction project
is expected to be completed by spring 2024.
Addressing the community’s homeless population remains a top priority for the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners.
