On Dec. 20, 2022, Commissioner Woodward attended the RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl at Florida Atlantic University’s stadium in Boca Raton. The commissioner welcomed the student-athletes, their families, alumni and fans to Palm Beach County.
The two teams, Liberty Flames and Toledo Rockets, were selected from the Boca Bowl's three partner conferences: Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference and the American Athletic Conference.
The Boca Bowl started in 2014 and has grown into a week-long community event with unparalleled hospitality, entertainment and exposure. According to TV rating reports, the game had a television audience of over 1.6 million households and is one of the most watched, pre-Christmas bowl games.
