On Dec. 14, 2022, Commissioner Woodward attended the annual "money drop" concert coordinated by the Clerk and Comptroller’s Office at Governmental Center in West Palm Beach.  The festive event features carolers singing holiday songs to ring in the season. Commissioner Woodward commended the employees for helping those in our local community. This year’s concert raised $3,600 that was donated to the Selfless Love Foundation, a Jupiter nonprofit organization that works to connect foster children with families and focuses on three key areas: adoption, independent living, and advocacy.

Through the Dress Down program, the Clerk and Comptroller employees also raised $39,357 this year that was divided among five organizations each receiving checks for $7,871:  the Children’s Home Society, Friends of Foster Children, Hospice of Palm Beach County, Palm Beach County Food Bank and Speak Up for Kids.

Since the inception of the Clerks for a Cause Charitable Giving program in 1994, nearly $1 million has been raised.
