At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Dec. 6, 2022, Vice Mayor Maria Sachs presented a proclamation declaring Dec. 6, 2022, as Ellen Jacoby Day in Palm Beach County.
Ellen Jacoby is the founder and president of Ellen Jacoby Casting International and has had offices in Miami and Boca Raton. She has employed over 300,000 Florida actors, dancers and performers through filmmaking throughout the state from the Keys to the Panhandle. Additionally, Ellen was appointed to the Florida Film & Entertainment Advisory Council by Former Governor Jeb Bush and has served as a judge for the Palm Beach County Film and Television Commission’s Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films.
