The ceremonial groundbreaking for the Berkeley Landing residential community to be constructed on Broadway Avenue in Riviera Beach was held on March 1, 2022. This development will consist of 112 rental units which include 110 high quality affordable apartment homes, two market rate units, and amenities including a clubhouse, pool, fitness center and energy star appliances just to name a few.
“This is the just the beginning of exciting things to come in Riviera Beach with respect to affordable housing including mixed-use, mixed-income developments,” said Commissioner Mack Bernard. This project included $366,000 of Impact Fee Assistance from Palm Beach County that will help with the costs of roads, parks and public building fees for this estimated $30M project. “It takes a village” was the common theme echoed by County Administrator Verdenia C. Baker and numerous other dignitaries and community partners present at the event.
