Repeal of Facial Coverings Policy of 8/2/21 for County Staff and the General Public in County-Owned and Leased Buildings, with exception of Palm Tran and Palm Beach International Airport

Body

Effective Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 11:59 pm, the facial coverings policy effective August 2, 2021 for county staff and the general public in county-owned and leased buildings is hereby repealed. The federal mask requirement for county-operated transit vehicles and in the Palm Beach International Airport remains in effect.

The repeal of this policy is based upon consultation with the Director of the Florida Department of Health for Palm Beach County and the latest CDC COVID Data Tracker. The CDC has just released Palm Beach County’s COVID Community Risk at Moderate and the positivity rate has decreased below 5% for five weeks.

It is strongly recommended employees, visitors and interested parties continue to wear facial coverings, practice social distancing and become vaccinated. For more information, please visit: https://discover.pbcgov.org/coronavirus/Pages/Orders.aspx.
