*NEW* Health Care District Offers Walk-up COVID-19 Vaccinations in Downtown West Palm Beach
Starting tonight, visitors to downtown West Palm Beach will have a new experience to consider getting a COVID-19 shot.  The Health Care District of Palm Beach County is expanding access to COVID-19 vaccinations countywide by rolling out a mobile clinic to popular entertainment areas and events.

The Health Care District teamed up with the City of West Palm Beach and Palm Beach County to offer free, walk-up COVID-19 vaccines through this Sunday. City of West Palm Beach Firefighters will serve as vaccinators. The Health Care District’s mobile clinic will be parked on Datura Street, east of South Narcissus Avenue on:

  • Thursday, May 13th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Johnson & Johnson vaccine)
  • Friday, May 14th from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccine)
  • Saturday, May 15th from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccine)
  • Sunday, May 16th from noon to 7 p.m. (Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccine)

On Saturday, May 15th the Health Care District will also offer COVID-19 vaccinations along the 500 block of Clematis Street from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A parent or guardian must be present at the time of vaccination for anyone between the ages of 12 and 17.

The Health Care District is taking its vaccination outreach efforts on the road as operations wind down at the three mass vaccination sites in the northern, central and southern parts of the county. To date, the Health Care District has provided over 200,000 COVID-19 vaccinations countywide. Over four days last Friday through this Monday, the Health Care District vaccinated 170 people with its mobile clinic at the South Florida Fair.

Next week, the Health Care District will provide walk-up vaccinations with one of its mobile units in the parking lot of its Lantana clinic located at 1250 Southwinds Drive in Lantana, Florida. The hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. next Monday, May 17th through Friday, May 21st, 2021.

The Health Care District is also offering COVID-19 vaccinations to patients during regular doctors’ office visits at all of the nine C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinic sites across the county, which are located in areas of need. Appointments at the clinics can be made by calling 561-642-1000.

*NEW* Health Care District to Provide Walk-up Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccinations at Lantana Clinic for Ages 12 Years and Older
To expand access to COVID-19 vaccinations for all eligible ages, including adolescents 12 through 15, the Health Care District of Palm Beach County will provide walk-up vaccinations next week with one of its mobile units in the parking lot of its Lantana clinic located at 1250 Southwinds Drive in Lantana, Florida. The hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. next Monday, May 17th through Friday, May 21st, 2021. A parent or guardian must be present at the vaccination appointment of those who are 17 years old and younger.

The Health Care District is also offering COVID-19 vaccinations to patients during regular doctor’s office visits at all of the nine C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinic sites throughout the county, which are located in areas of need. Yesterday, the Health Care District reached a milestone by providing over 200,000 COVID-19 vaccinations in Palm Beach County.

County Facial Covering and Social Distancing Revised Policy Issued 05/05/21
Until further notice, it is the County’s policy that individuals must wear a facial covering or mask and social distance from other individuals while indoors on County Property.  County Property includes all County-owned and County-leased buildings where Palm Beach County’s offices, divisions, departments or Constitutional Offices conduct business.

Further, in accordance with federal regulations facial coverings or masks are required on all county operated transit. Law Enforcement is authorized to issue a trespass warning and remove any individuals not in compliance with this policy.

Vaccines for Homebound seniors
The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) is providing vaccine appointments for homebound seniors. The state encourages homebound individuals to sign up to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at their home by filling out the survey available here, emailing HomeboundVaccine@em.myflorida.com or by calling 866-779-6121. Someone from the Florida Division of Emergency Management will contact you within 72 hours to collect more information and schedule your appointment.

PBC Community Services Emergency Rental Assistance Lunch-n-Learn
Every Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m., the Palm Beach County Community Services Department (CSD) is hosting an Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Lunch-n-Learn for Palm Beach County residents.  During the sessions, staff will cover what the ERA application process entails, how to complete an application, and what the eligibility and documentation requirements are.  Staff will also answer frequently asked questions.

Homebound Resident Testing
Residents eligible include homebound elderly or individuals with disabilities who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and cannot leave their homes to access one of the drive-up or walk-up test collection sites. Residents who believe they are eligible for the in-home testing option should call 561-712-6400 for a pre-qualifying assessment. The testing line is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
