EXECUTIVE ORDERS 21-46 AND 21-47
​Governor Ron DeSantis has signed Executive Orders 21-46 and 21-47, which outline all providers administering any COVID-19 vaccine, shall only vaccinate the following populations:​​

- Long-term care facility residents and staff;
- Persons 65 years of age and older; (60 years of age and older effective 3/15)
- Health care personnel with direct patient contact;
- K-12 school employees 50 years of age and older;
- Sworn law enforcement officers 50 years of age and older; and
- Firefighters 50 years of age and older.

​PALM BEACH COUNTY HAS EXTENDED THE COVID-19 STATE OF EMERGENCY UNTIL 3/19/21

*NEW* HEALTH CARE DISTRICT OF PALM BEACH COUNTY OPENS VACCINATION APPOINTMENT REQUESTS TO ADULTS 60 YEARS AND OLDER
The Health Care District of Palm Beach County has expanded COVID-19 vaccination appointment requests to adults 60 years and older and encourages all eligible individuals to complete the request form at the Health Care District's website, http://vaccine.hcdpbc.org/ [vaccine.hcdpbc.org].  Those eligible to be vaccinated beginning Monday, March 15, 2021 per Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' Executive Order 21-62 include:

  • Persons 60 years of age and older;
  • Health care personnel with direct patient contact;
  • K-12 school employees 50 years of age and older;
  • Sworn law enforcement officers 50 years of age and older;
  • Firefighters 50 years of age and older; and
  • Persons deemed extremely vulnerable to COVID-19 as determined by a physician who provides an attestation that the patient meets the defined eligibility criteria outlined in this Department of Health form [ww11.doh.state.fl.us].

Those who submit appointment requests are asked to indicate in the “Reason for Appointment" box which of the above eligibility categories best applies. They are then placed in a virtual waiting room for scheduling on a first-come, first-serve basis. Depending on vaccine supply, eligible adults are being notified of an available appointment as quickly as a few days after submitting their online request.

All registrations must be completed electronically at http://vaccine.hcdpbc.org/ [vaccine.hcdpbc.org]. For those with no internet access, the Health Care District's helpline at 561-804-4115 is available to assist in English, Spanish and Creole.

​The Health Care District is operating three large-scale, appointment-only, walk-in vaccination sites at the South County Civic Center, west of Delray Beach, the Burns Road Community Center, in Palm Beach Gardens, and the South Florida Fairgrounds in suburban West Palm Beach. These sites are supported by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, the City of Palm Beach Gardens, Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue, United Way volunteers, Palm Beach County leadership and the Florida Department of Health for Palm Beach County.

*NEW* VACCINES FOR HOMEBOUND SENIORS
​The State of Florida is launching a new way for homebound seniors to sign up to have the vaccine come directly to them. Please email HomeboundVaccine@em.myflorida.com to put in your request.

*NEW* VACCINATIONS FOR SCHOOL EMPLOYEES
There will be four dedicated walk-up vaccination sites this weekend (3/13, 3/14) for all school employees who meet the following criteria as set by the State:

School employees who are 50 years of age or older.
School employees of all ages who have documentation from a physician indicating that they are deemed medically vulnerable.

WEST PALM BEACH VA IS NOW OFFERING THE COVID-19 VACCINE TO ALL VETERANS, REGARDLESS OF AGE, WHO RECEIVE CARE AT VA
The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center is now offering COVID-19 Vaccine for ALL eligible Veterans of all ages who receive care at the VA. The vaccine is offered by appointment and on a walk-in basis at Building 14 on our main campus in West Palm Beach from 10 am to 3 pm Monday – Friday. We are offering the vaccine by appointment only at select CBOCs. Veterans must already receive care at VA to get the COVID-19 Vaccine and be able to return to the same site for their second dose.

​ONLINE PORTAL REOPENS FOR EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE
The Palm Beach County Community Services Department (CSD) will open its online portal for Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) beginning March 10th.  Eligible Palm Beach County residents must be a renter household in which at least one or more individuals meets all of the following criteria:

  • qualifies for unemployment or  experienced a reduction of household income;
  • incurred significant costs, or experienced other financial hardships due to COVID-19;
  • demonstrates a risk of homelessness or housing instability; and
  • has a household income at or below 80% of the area median.

All applicants must present the following documentation in order to apply for services:

  • evidence of COVID-19 direct or indirect impact
  • evidence of risk of homelessness or housing instability
  • evidence of income eligibility
  • valid government issued ID

Rental assistance may be paid up to three months in advance and income and crisis must be recertified for each three (3) month period.

For rental assistance, landlords must be registered as vendors with Palm Beach County.  Utility assistance is for electric, water and gas for eligible rental households only.

Applications will be thru County online portal. Applicants must submit the correct information along with all required documentation to expedite approval. Applications will be prioritized for clients who are below 30% /50% AMI , facing evictions and currently unemployed for more than 90 days.

Homebound Resident Testing
Residents eligible include homebound elderly or individuals with disabilities who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and cannot leave their homes to access one of the drive-up or walk-up test collection sites. Residents who believe they are eligible for the in-home testing option should call 561-712-6400 for a pre-qualifying assessment. The testing line is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
