TESTING SITES

*New* Health Care District of Palm Beach County's Testing for Saturday, 5-9-20:

Drive-through antibody testing began today at the Health Care District of Palm Beach County's COVID-19 testing site at the FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.  As announced yesterday by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the free antibody testing is reserved for first responders, including police and firefighters, as well as healthcare workers who are currently working at a healthcare facility.

The protocol for the antibody testing at the ballpark involves two steps: a blood test with the results provided to the patient on-site within approximately 20 minutes, along with a COVID-19 nasal swab test, which is sent to a lab for analysis.  Patients are notified when the results are available. The State Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Medical Director is overseeing the launch of the antibody testing to see if first responders and healthcare workers have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus.  First responders and healthcare workers can call the Health Care District's Testing Hotline at 561-642-1000 on Monday, May 11th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to schedule an appointment for antibody testing next week.
