PBC Emergency Order Number Five Reopens county parks, public and private golf courses, pools, marinas and boat ramps with limitations. Park visitors must practice social distancing, maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet) from others when possible. Face coverings are strongly encouraged and should be worn whenever possible.

  • Parks and natural areas will be open sunrise to sunset for one-way walking, running and biking, equestrian riding, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and use of lakes while practicing social distancing. Basketball and volleyball courts are for individual practice only.
  • Pickleball and tennis courts are for singles play only.
  • Playgrounds and dog parks remain closed until further notice.
  • All Palm Beach County beaches remain closed.
  • Boat ramps are open, with limitations on capacities, based on size of the boat.
  • County-operated golf courses will reopen to the public on Monday, May 4, with significant modifications for single play. 
  • Pool capacity shall be limited to ensure that social distancing is maintained at all times.
  • Locker room and shower facilities remain closed.
  • Pool deck seating or lounging shall be restricted.

TESTING SITES SUMMARY

*New*Health Care District of Palm Beach County's Testing for Friday, 5-1-20: 

West Palm Beach Testing Site at the FITTEAM Ballpark-

The Health Care District of Palm Beach County's C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics tested 437 patients at the FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach.  A total of 61 of these patients returned for testing today after inclement weather stopped testing early yesterday. The average age of the patients tested was 50.  A total of 29 children were tested and the youngest patient was three years old.  Patients are notified when their results are in. A total of 13,278 tests have been administered at the site since it opened on March 31st.  Drive-thru testing at the West Palm Beach test site is by appointment only through the Health Care District's Testing Hotline, 561-642-1000.

Belle Glade Testing Site-

The Health Care District's C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics tested 129 patients at the COVID-19 testing site in Belle Glade. There were 20 patients who did not show for their scheduled appointments. The average age of the patients tested was 42. A total of 14 children were tested and the youngest patient was one year old. Patients are notified when their results are in. The drive-thru and walk-up testing site is located on the grounds of the Health Care District's acute care, teaching hospital, Lakeside Medical Center, at 39200 Hooker Highway in Belle Glade. Individuals can be any age, and need not be symptomatic to be registered and tested, but they must call the Health Care District's Testing Hotline, 561-642-1000, to be scheduled in advance for testing. Patients who do not have a personal vehicle or use public bus transportation must also have an appointment. Since March, the Health Care District has tested 1,147 patients at the Belle Glade clinic site.

West Palm Beach (45th Street) Testing Site-

The Health Care District's C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics' walk-up site at 1150 45th Street in West Palm Beach tested 69 patients. There were 14 patients who did not show for their scheduled walk-up appointments. The average age of the patients tested was 50.  A total of three children were tested and the youngest patient was 2 years old. Please note that testing at this walk-up site is available by appointment on Mondays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to noon.  

Jupiter Testing Site-

The Health Care District's C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics testing site at the Jupiter clinic is located at 411 W. Indiantown Rd. in Jupiter. Please note that testing at this walk-up site is available by appointment on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon.  

Delray Beach Testing Site-

Today the Health Care District began scheduling appointments for the C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics' site at the Delray Beach clinic located at 225 South Congress Avenue. Testing at this walk-up site is available by appointment Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon.

Residents are encouraged to call the Health Care District's Testing Hotline, 561-642-1000, to schedule appointments at all of its testing sites. Testing is open to individuals of any age who do not need to be symptomatic.

*New*South County Civic Center-Cleveland Clinic Florida Testing

During today's drive-thru testing for COVID-19 at the South County Civic Center, Cleveland Clinic Florida tested 134 patients. There are 103 patients scheduled for tomorrow. Appointments can be made at 561-804-0250. Cleveland Clinic Florida has expanded criteria for individuals eligible for COVID-19 testing. Anyone over the age of 16 who has a fever or non-febrile respiratory illness (such as cough, shortness of breath, runny nose) or fever and gastrointestinal illness (such as diarrhea, vomiting), will be eligible for testing at our South Palm Beach County drive-through location. You must call to be screened and confirm an appointment time.

*New*Homebound Resident Testing

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue began setting up appointments and testing homebound residents this week. The first phase of the plan involves testing those residents who are on the county's Special Needs Registry. The Fire Rescue teams tested132 patients this week. This is an ongoing process that is expected to take several days.

*New*Tax Collector Gannon to Reopen Additional Offices Beginning May 4

Constitutional Tax Collector Anne M. Gannon today announced she will reopen four more tax collector offices beginning Monday, May 4, 2020, following the agency's successful reopening of its Delray office on Apr. 27. Gannon emphasized that all clients must wear a face mask and only the person seeking service will be admitted inside the office. Clients will not be allowed to bring family members or guests into the office with them. SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM

Palm Beach County Youth Services Department's Summer Food Service Program, in partnership with the the Library System are distributing meals at six sites throughout Palm Beach County. Meal distribution will be available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until all meal kits are distributed. Currently, pre-summer feeding sites will distribute food once a week through Wednesday, May 27. 

Parents picking up kits without their child present must bring identification for the child. Acceptable forms of identification include student ID, child's passport or other government-issued ID, birth certificate, adoption decree, immunization records, and school demographics. Meal kits will not be provided to parents who do not bring their child or do not provide proper identification. Proper safety measures must be practiced.

Food distribution has begun in the Glades through the Youth Services Department's pre-summer feeding program.  Food was distributed at the libraries in Belle Glade, South Bay and Pahokee.

SBA Disaster Loan Virtual Office

The U.S. Small Business Administration South Florida District Office will host virtual office hours to answer questions about the SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program. Limited to 250 callers at one time. Participants may call at any time and are welcome to enter and exit at will. Callers will be muted upon entry and will be taken in the order they are received. School Feeding Sites

*New* The next school-based, free-food distribution will be Thursday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 51 locations [palmbeachschools.org].  Parents or guardians who pick up meals on Thursday will be picking up a kit with three days worth of meals for each child.

Providing Read-Aloud to the School District's Virtual Classrooms
Palm Beach County Library System is offering the School District virtual read-alouds in the virtual classroom. Teachers can select a book and time slots and fill out a form and one of our librarians will visit your virtual classroom to read a book to your students. Speak with your school's media specialist to register. Librarians have access to many of the 2020 Sunshine State Readers.

Palm Tran Lobby Closure

Palm Tran Fixed Route and Paratransit

  • All passengers should have a mask covering their nose and mouth while riding.
  • The number of people onboard has been limited to no more than 15 passengers.
  • Palm Tran Fixed-Route continues to operate on a Saturday schedule except routes 1, 2, 3, 43  
    and 62 which are on a regular weekday schedule. Sundays continue to operate on a
    Sunday schedule.
  • Palm Tran Connection is essential trips only.

 Go Glades Service

  • Palm Tran's western community bus service, Go Glades, Routes 1, 2, 3 and 4 are currently not running a regular service. You will be able to book a trip directly to and from your destination by calling: (561) 649-9838.
  • The Palm Tran call center (561) 841-4BUS (4287) is operating from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Many trip planning functions may be done through the Palm Tran app and on palmtran.org.

Tri-Rail

  • Passengers are urged to wear masks while riding. Tri-Rail continues to offer an amended schedule until further notice, with 18-trains every 2 hours starting at 4:17 a.m. on weekdays, and 12-trains every 3-hours starting at 5:17 a.m. on weekends. 
  • Trains have suspended fares and are operating on a modified schedule:
    18 trains on Weekdays, 12 trains on Saturday, 12 trains on Sunday.

 Brightline

  • Train service is suspended until further notice.

JURY DUTY

All jury selection proceedings are suspended through May 29. Jurors who were summonsed for jury duty through May 29 do not have to report for service. Those with questions regarding jury service can call 561-355-2930 or visit www.mypalmbeachclerk.com/jury.  

CIRCUIT COURT

The Fifteenth Judicial Circuit is limiting most face-to-face hearings. Anyone who enters the courthouse will undergo a non-invasive temperature scan. Any person who refuses to have their temperature taken or has a temperature of 100.4 ΒΊ F, or higher, will not be permitted to enter the courthouses.
