Animal Care & Control No Longer Offering Pet Vaccines Under Stay At Home Order

In an effort to keep people and pets at home, provide additional protection and minimize exposure to the public and employees, Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control has stopped curbside vaccine service. Late fees for vaccines and/or tags will be waived during this time.

Residents are urged to keep pets safe from rabies vector species, such as raccoons, by not allowing pets to free roam, keeping pets indoors and monitoring pets even in fenced yards. Individuals who feed sterilized and vaccinated community cats are reminded that it is unlawful to leave food outdoors unattended. Such activity can attract raccoons which further places pets and community cats in danger.

If a pet has never been vaccinated, or is not current on rabies vaccines, it is even more critical to keep the pet away from other animals and to reach out to a private veterinarian for advice. Dogs or cats that bite or inflict injury on a human or other dog or cat are subject to rabies quarantine laws.
