At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on May 7, 2024, Commissioner Barnett presented a proclamation recognizing Restoration Bridge International (RBI) for filling the gap between available food and those in need. RBI was founded by Pastor Daniel West in 2001 with one goal: “to love our neighbors as ourselves.” It started as a food pantry in a church closet. Since its humble beginnings, it has rescued and redistributed 63 million pounds of food in Lake Worth, Boynton Beach, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Greenacres, South Bay, Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Delray, Lantana, Jupiter and anywhere that needs nutritious food.
